Just because you’re one year past your silver anniversary doesn’t mean that you’re not entitled to throw a party. Forever Fete, the 26th annual fundraising gala for the Timucua Arts Foundation, is slated to celebrate another 12 months of eclectic programming at the organization’s signature SoDo venue, the White House.

Set for Saturday, November 14, at 7:30 p.m., the party will be headlined by a concert from the Glazer family: Timucua co-founder and artistic director Benoit (a trumpeter); his wife, Elaine Corriveau (a pianist); and their talented adult children.

Joining the family on stage will be special surprise guests whose identity Glazer is keeping under wraps for now. What is known is that a lifetime achievement award will be presented to Per Danielsson, the Swedish-born pianist and composer and currently professor of jazz studies at UCF.

Hors d’oeuvres will follow a decidedly French-Canadian theme, matching the Montréal-born Glazer’s personal heritage, while a silent auction will offer 16 lots of tickets to area events and other gift packages donated by local businesses.

Timucua is going for an intimate atmosphere at Forever Fete, with candlelit tables and individual seating temporarily replacing the customary rows of church-style pews. Yes, they’re removable; it isn’t only the venue’s celebrated, highly versatile sound system that can be customized to meet the needs of the moment.

Timucua Arts Foundation is located at 2000 South Summerlin Avenue, Orlando. For more information, call or visit the website.
